Just a reminder of some upcoming important dates.

Jumper presentation will be held this Wednesday night 23rd March . The u/10 and u/12 presentation will commence at the conclusion of their training session (around 5.20 ish) and the u/14 and u/16 presentation will be around 6.45 ish. A sausage sizzle will be held prior to the jumper presentation. Sox and shorts will be available for sale on the night - cash or cheque only..

Please note all registration forms and monies are due this wednesday night 23rd March - your child must be registered to recieve a jumper. I will be up at the ground from about 4.30 to take any forms and money.

Mouthguards - Patrick will be delivering the final few mouthguards this Wednsday night (around 5.15 ) .

If you have not received your duty dates please see Carey this Wednesday to check for your rostered times during the season. Every family will be placed on the roster during the season - if you have a preference please see Carey.

Practice Match will be held at the Olinda ground this Sunday 27th March against Monbulk Footy Club. Players will be given final details this Wednesday night.

Happy New Year to all current and prospective Olinda Ferny Creek Junior Football Club families and a warm welcome to Season 2011.

I know everyone is getting excited about an impending winter in the hills and thought I would take this opportunity to "warm you up" with information regarding the clubs activities and initiatives.

Firstly some great news from last season. Olinda Ferny Creek Junior Football Club was awarded for being the best run Junior club in the league. This is testament to the hard work by everyone involved on game days and the committee's efforts during the year. Again it shows that our club is a leader in the development the players, the organisation of the club and professionalism of the committee.

We are also a growing club with player numbers expected to increase again this season. With this in mind and to ensure we give all players the opportunity participate we intend entering an under 13's team for the 2011 season. This additional team gives players the opportunity to play more football, develop their skills at an appropriate level and more importantly play. Our club policies limit the number of players in each age level, so to ensure all kids that intend to play fit under the team limit please register early to avoid disappointment.

Registration day is coming up on Sunday the 6th of February. As mentioned before it is extremely important to register early as possible to avoid disappointment. Don't forget to bring your old boots to swap or some cash for some cheap slightly used ones.

Well it is that time of year again when we are starting to organise teams for next year. The club is now calling for registrations from current players and siblings for season 2011. I have attached 4 files to this email.

1. Registration Letter - this outlines the registration process, some info from the registration policy and registration cost for 2011. This letter is for you to keep.

2. OFCJFC Registration form (complete hard copy please ) - You may use this for up to 3 siblings, please make sure this form is signed and include payment or eft details

3. OFCJFC Medical form (complete hard copy please ) - each child must have their own form again please make sure it's signed.

4. DRJFL Registration form (complete hard copy please ) - each child has their own form. This form looks a bit confusing - just fill out the first box (your child's details etc) and sign at the bottom. (This same form is used for transfers which is why it contains other info - you do not need to worry about that).

The three forms need to be printed out by you, completed and returned with payment by 1st December to ensure your childs place in the teams for 2011 (We believe our numbers will be high for next year and therefore places may be limited - read the rego letter for further information regarding this).

Well our last home game for the season - wow it has gone very quickly. Thank you to everyone who has helped with the roster this year, turning up on time and filling in where needed. It has been greatly appreciated.

A few notes for this week......

JUMPERS
A reminder that all jumpers MUST be returned at the conclusion of the last game (VS BELGRAVE at Belgrave) next sunday. Remember to bring along something to change into as it can get very cold without a jumper on!!!!! If you are not playing the last round please return your jumper at the conclusion of this weeks game.(Vs Yarra Junction at home) Each team manager will collect the jumpers for their team.

FAMILY NIGHT
Last one for the year, casserole and curry - anyone interested in cooking please give Carey a call 9755 2460.

ROSE COTTAGE
Tickets will be on sale this sunday, please come along and help support this event - not only is it a fundraiser for the club it is also a really fun night.

2011 SEASON
Planning for the 2011 season will commence very shortly and with this in mind it would be helpful to have an idea of our numbers for next year - therefore would you be able to reply to this email indicating your intentions for next year....ie Players re-registering, parent helpers for teams etc......It would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have any ideas to help our club improve please feel free to include those too.

On Sunday, June 20th, 2010, photos of each OFCJFC team (players and officials) will be taken at our Olinda home ground.

Be in the Clubrooms in your footy gear (no boots) at the following times. (Make sure you are on time as the photographer will not wait for latecomers!!!)

* Under 10s - by 9.30 am.
* Under 12s - by 10.30 am.
* Under 14s - by 11.45 am.
* Under 16s - by 1.15 pm.

All players and officials must wear correct club gear and jumper numbers.

Photos of single players (or a few) will be taken first. Team photos will follow. Sample photos are on the notice boards in the clubrooms.

All envelopes with Payment must be returned on the day of the photo or before if you can. You may pay your Team Manager or any Committee member or John Hicks who will co-ordinate all payments. Cash, credit card, cheque all ok.

Prices are:
Option 1 pack: one 8 x 10 inch (team photo) PLUS one 5x4 inch player photo. $25
Option 2 pack: one 8 x 10 inch (team photo) PLUS two 5x4 inch player photos. $30
Option 3 pack: two 8 x 10 inch (team photo) PLUS one 5x4 inch player photo. $40
